Feedback on Osteoporosis Canada’s whiteboard video (Close the Gap with FLS)
Osteoporosis Canada is piloting its new whiteboard video outlining FLS. We appreciate your taking the time to answer a few short questions. In the questions below, FLS refers to a model of care where a dedicated FLS coordinator finds the fracture patients at the hospital, organizes their investigations, provides education to patient/family and facilitates initiation of appropriate osteoporosis treatment.
1. Did this video clearly deliver the message that FLS is the only intervention able to meaningfully narrow the post-fracture care gap? (For this question, please ignore the issue of cost.)

5. After viewing this video, do you understand that creating your own FLS care model without guidance from an FLS expert is likely to result in a model that will have minimal impact on the post-fracture care gap?
- Yes, I would most certainly seek advice from someone with expertise in FLS design before taking steps to implement a post-fracture care model in my jurisdiction.
- No, our team is great at thinking outside the box and I’m convinced we could close this care gap on our own with a multidisciplinary approach utilizing our current existing staff (i.e. no need to hire a new dedicated FLS coordinator).
